Dynamic Solitons And Worms (Full)

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις 27 Δεκ 2013
This shows the full span of
evolution (25 minutes!) of my previously uploaded excerpt of the same
simulation. Most of it is running at 61 timesteps-per-frame but there is
a brief period of time-lapse at the very end in which the system
reaches its final behavior (three trained-gliders moving diagonally
forever).

This formula and settings (available in
Ready-0.6/Patterns/Experiments) produces vibrating solitons that become
worms or glider-solitons under certain conditions. When hit by a
prolonged stream of soliton-gliders, worms tend to oscillate and
eventually break. When worm tips are oscillated, they can go into a
state in which glider-solitons are emitted in a continuous stream.
Streams of glider-solitons move in self-attracting trains along
interesting wiggly paths, avoiding whilst at the same time influencing
each other and perturbing the worms.

Created and simulated in Ready, composited in SideFX Houdini Apprentice HD.
