Can superfluid be the link to understanding dark matter?
Δημοσιεύτηκε στις 14 Σεπ 2016
The
behavior of dark matter, by nearly all accounts, is exceedingly odd: It
influences the movement of so-called normal matter through gravity, but
refuses to interact via any of the other known forces. Physicist John
Khoury has an idea why. According to his theory, dark matter acts like a
superfluid, a matter state in which lots of individual particles behave
as one. He discussed his ideas at the 2016 World Science Festival
program Shaking Up the Dark Universe.
MODERATOR: John Hockenberry
